The Role

On behalf of this esteemed practice, we are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join the San Diego office. This position is designed for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to handle a sophisticated caseload within a respected and expanding firm. The Associate will be responsible for managing litigation matters from inception through resolution, with a primary focus on insurance defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Litigation Management: Oversee all phases of civil litigation, ensuring that cases progress efficiently and effectively.
• Drafting & Filings: Prepare and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, and substantive motions.
• Appearances: Represent the firm's clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Strategic Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research to develop winning strategies for diverse litigation matters.
• Client Liaison: Maintain high-level communication with clients and insurance carriers to provide regular updates and strategic counsel.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience specifically within civil litigation or insurance defense.
• Licensure: Current, active membership in the State Bar of California.
• Expertise: Strong analytical skills and a proven track record in discovery and motion practice.
